A Las Vegas hotel is spending millions on upgrades and a new brand image so it can claim the title of city’s first cannabis-friendly hotel. Minutes from the famous Las Vegas strip, the Artisan Hotel Boutique is transforming into The Lexi, a 64-room hotel that welcomes cannabis tourists, according to a report by Ganjapreneur.
In a press release, the company said that the whole fourth floor would be set aside for people who want to use cannabis. Elevations Hotels and Resorts owns the hotel. Elevations CEO Alex Rizk said, “The Lexi will allow the brand to showcase its commitment to creating a new type of hotel concept that is defined not only by our acceptance and normalization of cannabis in the hospitality space, but also by our dedication to reclaim storied properties and transform them for the modern-day travelers.”
The Lexi will also have a new Cajun-style steakhouse run by Executive Chef Jordan Savell (Hell’s Kitchen, Season 19), as well as the high-energy Artisan Bar & Lounge and The Lexi Pool, which is one of the only European-style pools in Las Vegas. The Lexi has also made a new grand lobby with high ceilings, an indoor water feature, a new walk-up cafe, cocktail service, live music, and other small-scale entertainment options.
The Lexi will eventually offer a membership program that is part of Elevations Nation, a program made by Elevation Hotels & Resorts. The hotel should reopen in the spring after renovations.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal says that Elevations bought the property in March 2022 for $11.9 million. Elevations is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and also runs the Clarendon Hotel, which has a lounge and rooms where people can use cannabis.
