Cannabis Regulators Reject Testing

Nevada Cannabis Regulators Reject Testing Lab’s Bid

The Cannabis Compliance Board voted unanimously to reject the motion to dismiss the disciplinary action against a Nevada testing lab. The lab will face disciplinary action for violations, including passing samples tainted by microbial contaminants.

A cannabis testing laboratory was accused of intentionally manipulating THC levels reported by Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Lettucetest LLC, formally known as Cannex Nevada LLC, now faces disciplinary action and could lose its business license and be prohibited from operating in the industry for a decade. They received their first complaint in January 2021 from regulators including more than a dozen violations.

The Nevada Cannabis Control Board (CCB) recently filed a complaint against the facility, indicating that it had found 232 instances of unapproved retesting of products that had initially failed testing for microbials. There could also be a $62,500 fine.
