A Morning Consult/Politico poll found that 60% of U.S. voters believe cannabis should be federally legalized. The survey found that only 27% of all voters preferred it remains outlawed, with 13% unsure.
According to the poll, 72 percent of black voters, 67 percent of Hispanic voters, 58 percent of white voters, and 57 percent of voters who identified as another race backed the reforms. This indicates that a majority of voters across all racial demographics support the proposed cannabis reforms.
According to the data, the most substantial support for legalization was seen among 35-44 year-olds, with 71% in favor and 17% opposed. There was also majority support among 18-34 year-olds (69%) and 45 65-year-olds (59%), while voters 65 and older were split with 45% in favor and 41% opposed.
