Jake Zieminski is Founder and President of CAVU Wellness, a MA cannabis license applicant in Western Massachusetts focused on the medical and adult-use cannabis cultivation, manufacturing and retail sectors.
For over 15 years, Jake has worked with a diverse array of healthcare clients on performance improvement initiatives and focused his passion on building client relationships and driving organizational change. Jake has collaborated with clients nationwide, leading organizational transformative initiatives ranging from health systems, specialty hospitals, urgent care, emergency care, physician practices and payors.
Most recently, Jake served as the chief operations officer and partner of a start-up network of outpatient addiction clinics. The Massachusetts provider of mental health and substance use treatment-related services was focused on innovative IT solutions and patient delivery models that were data driven and outcome based, which did not exist in Addiction Medicine.
” I didn’t start CAVU Wellness because I wanted to be an entrepreneur, be in charge or had a ”lightbulb” idea. My journey is what enabled me to find this company, out of necessity to provide top-tier quality cannabis products and reduce the footprint of synthetic medications required by patients – our families and friends. This starts with the science behind cultivation of the plant and collection of data on the patient’s experience. I couldn’t be more excited for the clinical research and innovations, but right now the opioid drug crisis is stealing our friends and family, and we need to do something different. That’s a certainty. Cannabis is just a step in that direction of change, but a fundamentally responsible adult step.” – Jake Zieminski
